The Process

In order to have a website address (eg www.yourweb.com) you will need to register the name you wish if it is available with a registrar - approximate cost: $20/yr.

In order to serve your website to the 'net' you will require a host where your files will be stored. We can suggest a host with the correct services for your website if necessary. EquiLibra and many of our clients are hosted on $5 Hosting at a cost of $60 per year.

In order to design your site we will require:

	graphics, logos, photos, maps, etc; as a graphic file or on paper for electronic scanning. Of course, we can develop images and develop digital photos for you.
	text describing your ideas/services/products, preferably as a file in Rich Text Format (.rft).
	colour scheme and design preferences; a list of other web sites you have admired; a rough sketch of your ideas
	categories under which your company should appear in Internet Directories
	keywords for identification by the search engines
	a 25 word summary of your philosophy/services/products which will appear after your title in search engine listings

A preliminary design(s) of the main page of your site will be produced and posted on your server.

As your site develops the webdesigner will have several consultations with you as final decisions are made on design and navigation.

When you and the webdesigner are fully satisfied the website will be registered with the search engines. 

To get the maximum benefit from a website it is important to spend some effort on marketing and promotion!
